Current legal basis: the rules of conduct for civil servants and contract staff are laid down by GEO no. 57/2019 on the Administrative Code, as subsequently amended (art. 368, art. 430–450 and art. 549–551). Romanian Law no. 7/2004 on the Code of Conduct for civil servants was repealed on 5 July 2019 by art. 597 para. (2) point (k) of the Administrative Code.
